There are no beaches in the Orlando area, but many visitors combine a stay in Orlando with a stay on one of Florida's many gorgeous beaches. You can either go East to the Atlantic Coast, or West to the Gulf of Mexico Coast - either one is within a 2 hour drive.
Where you go depends on your preferences: the east coast has KSC (Kennedy Space Center) Daytona Beach with it's raceway and St. Augustine, which is North America's oldest city. The West Coast offers Busch Gardens, Clearwater Beach, Sanibel Island and amazingly uncrowded white sandy beaches.
